Olivier

New Player on Board


Urban people, there is new player to entertain your tummy. placed at West Mall. Grand Indonesia. Ground floor, right beside Arjuna Lobby. It is OLIVIER Peps.

When you see this restaurant from inside mall. Their enterance is so small and a bit mysterious. With gold and big window glass this restaurant similar with bar in 60's. First i walked in i saw partition brown glass with classic lamp on each corner. There is a receptionist table in front ready to welcome us.  

When I enter this restaurant, it was a surprise that it has a big space inside. I remembered Feng sui said, pocket interior is a fortune for your business. hahaha

First you'll find big bar with yellow and dark brown color in the right side. Bartender ready all the time. 

 In front of the bar there are tables with devider makes your dine more private.

And then you turn to your right you will see outdoor area with rooftop glass. Mba Desi as Head branch of Olivier said this rooftop is special ordered from germany and it is custome. The roof top can rolled up then you can get 100% outside area.

 This spot in picture above is my favorite spot. Like the sofa design.


Mba Desi said, Olivier designed with classic interior in 60's era. Olivier's ornament, bar's design, even their floor use teraso. It is a different thing with marmer. First came to Indonesia since 50's era.

Since i came here until 9.00 pm, I can see how Olivier design their outdoor area become a romantic ambience. with a lamps and candles you can feel the romantic ambience with your lover but also cozy when you hang out with your friends.

Beside mba Desi. I was introduced with their chef. One from Italy and another one is Indonesian, Chef Ari
They explained us about All food in the menu. ( AAAAAAAAKH!!! So excited)
From Starter their recommend to Quinoa Tabouleh Salad, 70k;  Corlander Zephyr mousse, 70k; Wonton Chicken and Shrimp Chilli oil, 70k; Coppa salad, rucola, cranberry, feta, balsamic dressing, 90k:

In their Asia Menu, their recommend to Whole Barramundi in tumeric Coconut Broth with rice, 288k, For share because they said the barramundi is 600gr :O ; and anotherone is Crackling bbay pork legt or shouder with rocket, potato, hoisin mustard sauce - allow 35 minutes, for share.

For pasta are Spaghetti with prawn, spicy tomato sauce, sambal terasi, 95k; Creamed risotto with porcini mushroom, 88k; Risotto with sauteed squid and crunchy pork skin.

From Western menu their signature is 72 - hours wagyu brisket, BBQ sauce, wedges potatoes and sauteed mushroom , 198k. 

From Tapas menu their recommend me for smoked salmon, creme fraiche, truffle oil on salt and pepper short bread, 80k

And my favorite is Dessert Menu, their recommend me for Milk toast with Condensed milk and mochi, 70k; and Valrhona Choco Fondant, conag ice cream ( the ice cream can replaced with vanilla ice cream they said).

We were ordered


Spaghetti with prawn, spicy tomato sauce, sambal terasi, 95k, It is spicy and so indonesia, I really love the sambal terasi. they used real shrimp paste, may be the sambal not mashed with hand but it is okay. I think it is bareable for someone can't handle spice.


For Beverage i choose Fizzy Apple, 60k. Mba Dessi recommend me this one because this breverage is  refreshing and that day is hot enough for Jakarta. huuf

The taste is simple. Only BBQ sauce with wedge potato and mushroom. but that is why this dish is special. because the ingredients already amazing (Of course with wagyu cooked in 72 hours, how that cannot be amazing??) the simple sauce is just make it more. less is more peps.

It is Spinach with cream. the taste is great!!, simple but great. 
This one is Apple Crumble with cream fraiche and ice cream, 70k, I really love pice crust and this one has a perfect crust, the apple filling is moist too.

Quinoa Tabouleh Salad, 70k; the plating is simple but the taste is not, you have to taste it your self


Chicken Wings with Spicy Marinade, 70k. these Chicken wings seasoned with spicy and they served with spicy dressing. not oily and of cour chicken wings are yuuum

French Fries with chilli parmesan or truffle oil, 75k. Hope the parmesan is a little bit more. hehehe Sorry I never get enough cheese.

Their service is friendly, maybe a bit clumsy, like when I ordered for Fizzy Aplle, they gave me Fizzy Lemonade, Fortunately Mba Dessy Notice and asked to changed it. They are fast too and several waiters know to recommend us what to order

the price is expensive but hey you get a great ambience in central Jakarta, what do you expecr. haha yeah for me once in a while is enough.

Sate Khas Senayan

Company Break Fasting Gathering 


Two days ago my company had a break fasting gathering. We choose Sate Khas Senayan for our vanue. This restaurant placed at Jl. H.O.S Cokroaminoto at menteng. Near Adorama building and in the same building with melawai optic.

from the outside this place is looks minimalist, but when you walk into this place, you can see big wayang picture and another indonesian ornament.

you can choose second floor for private company space, but since we more than 70, we cannot use it.

For this such gathering, sate khas senayan provide us menu set. we can choose 2 days before event. For us, we choose 5 kinda dish and 4 breverage and 4 appatizer for each 4 people.

 one belewah iced with nata de coco. the sweetness is fit for my palate. yuum
 sweet ice tea
 assorted snack such smoked beef, filled fried tofu, sosis solo. my champion is sosis solo.

 Plecing kangkung, such a goot seasoned, a bit spicy
 Fired chicken, served with sayur asem
 Sayur asem with sambal shrimp paste, and fried chicken, served with chilli ketchup and assorted vegetable.

 Chicken satay, served with nut sauce and per portion around ten piece of satay.

 Fried Gurame, served with assorted vegetables and shrimp paste sambal. Cooked with a lot of turmeric
Maranggi Satay, served with nut sauce and one portion around ten piece of satay.

Their service is good, some of waiters smart and fast, but some is not. I think those are trainee.
